Before you buy
- Count users and devices first. It decides how many access points and how much bandwidth you need.
- Internet is usually the biggest running cost, so size it to real use instead of guessing.
- Wire fixed devices (desktops, cameras, printers) and use Wi-Fi for everything that moves.
- Consider a backup link, such as 4G, for anything that must stay online.
- Ask for a simple network diagram and all passwords at handover.
